Hi, I'm Rose!
Storytelling has always been at the heart of everything I do.
Whether it's through photography, videography, design, or written content, I'm passionate about capturing moments and turning ideas into something people can genuinely connect with. It's this passion that led me to create The Rose Creative.
Professionally, I work as a Marketing & Engagement Coordinator at AUT Ventures, where I manage social media, photograph events, and create everything from articles and newsletters to marketing campaigns. Alongside this, I'm currently completing my Master's in Communication at Auckland University of Technology, where my research explores how neurodivergence is represented in screen media and how those portrayals shape audience perceptions – a topic that's both professionally and personally meaningful to me as an autistic woman. That perspective has deepened my appreciation for honest storytelling, the importance of helping people feel seen, and creating an environment where people can simply be themselves.
Outside of academia, milestone photography has become one of my greatest passions. From weddings and engagements to growing families and everything in between, I love documenting the moments that often pass by far too quickly. My approach is relaxed, thoughtful, and documentary-led, allowing you to be fully present while I quietly capture your story as it naturally unfolds. I know firsthand that being in front of a camera can feel vulnerable or overwhelming, which is why creating a calm, low-pressure experience is just as important to me as the photographs themselves.
Using professional Sony equipment and industry-standard software including Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro, I combine technical expertise with a creative eye to create imagery and films that feel timeless, authentic, and unmistakably yours.
Above all, I want every client to walk away feeling comfortable, looked after, and excited to relive their memories for years to come.

Meet Finn
Alongside me on almost every shoot is my partner of four years and the other half of The Rose Creative, Finn.
Finn leads our videography while I focus on photography and oversee the creative direction. Working together means we're able to capture your day from multiple perspectives without missing the moments that matter, while maintaining a consistent style across both your gallery and film.
Whether he's filming your day, carrying gear between locations, or quietly capturing the moments happening just outside the frame, Finn plays an integral role in every shoot. Calm, reliable, and always ready to lend a hand, he helps create a relaxed environment that allows your day to unfold naturally while ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Outside of The Rose Creative, Finn is completing his electrician apprenticeship and has a growing passion for welding. His practical, hands-on nature and keen eye for detail shine through in everything he does, making him an invaluable part of our team.
When we're not working, you'll usually find us at the gym, grabbing a Dunkin' iced coffee, hunting for Jellycats, or deciding where our next food date should be…
